For The Benefit of the
Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation

The Play On Store offers logowear and music art items: all profits go to the MHOF

Play On Instrument Drive Timetable

THIS YEAR'S DRIVE BEGAN
ON February 2, 2008 at the
Skyline Music Mardi Gras Celebration!

Start looking for people with repairable band or orchestra instruments that are gathering dust. Remember, if someone isn't going to use it, there's a kid who can!

Remember too that MHOF operates all over the country and all year around, so if you've found our information and simply want to make a contribution, jump to their website or send them a check directly--and thanks!

If you're not in Northeast Ohio and would like to help, we urge you to contact the Mr. Hollnd's Opus Foundation directly. Click here or anywhere you see the MHOF logo.

PRIOR DRIVE RESULTS:
Over 130 instruments, valued--at used prices--at over $28,000!

Thank you for supporting the
Play On Instrument Drive!

The first Play On Instrument Drive began November 25, 2005 (Thanksgiving weekend) and ran until February 25, 2006. The main beneficiaries of instruments donated to Play On (which funnels these donations through the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation) for this drive are victims of the Gulf Coast hurricanes of 2005. This year's Drive runs from February 2, 2008 to March 22, 2008. We now send instruments to students in need all over America.

One of the things we love about working through MHOF is that we send the donated instruments directly to the beneficiary schools. We get pictures--we get to see the smiles.

Few charitable contributions let you see this clearly the good that you do. There's no bureaucracy to feed between your donation and a kid with a horn.
Another compelling feature of this campaign is that we're not asking for money. Sure, you can write a check to the foundation if you wish to help and don't have an instrument to contribute. (See the Other Ways To Help area) But what we're really asking for are the instruments sitting in your closet, basement, or attic. If you're not using them and you don't think you will, why not donate so a child can play? To you it may be clutter, but to a band or orchestra kid, it's the opportunity of a lifetime.

Please take a few moments to read about Play On, The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, and
the current Instrument Drive. Even if you don't have an instrument, there are ways you can help. We also ask that you pass the word along to friends, neighbors, and relatives, particularly if you know someone that used to play. These are the people we're looking for!
